Since we began work to restore Amisfield Walled Garden in 2007, our aim has been to create a garden that will benefit the health and wellbeing of the local community as well as creating a beautiful and relaxing space for the enjoyment of our many visitors.
Although we have grant funding to support the salary of our volunteer coordinator, it currently costs around £8,000 per year to keep the garden running. This includes paying for insurance, fuel and servicing of garden machinery, purchase of plants, seeds and compost and materials for development of new garden areas.
