Anna Blackwood , Garden Manager
Our Garden Manager, Anna, had a career in Marketing before studying Garden Design at SRUC. She is the founder and owner of Blackwood Gardens which offers a garden design service to private clients. Anna has recently joined Amisfield in April 2026 and works alongside our board of trustees and our wellbeing and outreach worker to support volunteering sessions and group visits to the garden.
Louise Lissaman, Wellbeing & Outreach Worker
Louise is passionate about plants and gardening and even more passionate about the benefits that community gardening can bring to people’s physical, mental, emotional and social wellbeing. As a former HR Manager, she has many years’ experience in coaching and mentoring, training and development and project delivery. Her horticulture training and experience of working as a gardener complete the skill set that enables her to deliver well-being and employability support at Amisfield. When not at work she can usually be found in her own garden – reaping the wellbeing benefits for herself.
