What we do

The Amisfield Preservation Trust is committed under the lease agreement to work in partnership with the Council and local voluntary and community organisations to develop the garden for “the enjoyment and benefit of the public at large and, in particular, the health, well-being and education of the local community”. To this end the garden is freely open to the public on most days of the week and the area surrounding the garden is maintained for recreational use.

In addition to our regular volunteers we also work with many groups and organisations to promote education and well-being in the local community.
