Horticulture

Thanks to the hard work of a dedicated band of volunteers the Trust is beginning to realise the horticultural potential of the garden. Extensive planting has taken place including lawns, hedging, flower beds, shrubs, fruit and ornamental trees, vegetables, and soft fruit. The installation of a 70 foot greenhouse and small polytunnel have led to the production of a wider range of crops including grapes, peaches, tomatoes, peppers.

Produce is supplied to local shops and restaurants and is also available for visitors to purchase.
